Innovation and Incubation Centre

Ministry of Education, Govt. of India has established its ‘Innovation Cell’ at All India Council for Technical Education to systematically foster the culture of Innovation in all Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) across the country. MoE’s Innovation Cell (MIC) focuses on creating and strengthening the culture of Innovation and entrepreneurship ecosystem across all HEIs to enable them to promote and support student innovations and sustainable start-ups from academic institutions.
MoE’s Innovation Cell has launched and implemented various policy programs such as Smart India Hackathon, International Hackathons, Atal Ranking of Institutions on Innovation Achievements (ARIIA), establishment of Institution’s Innovation Councils (IICs) and National Innovation and Start-up Policy (NISP) for Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) to engage, encourage and channelize the creative energy and entrepreneurial potential of Indian youths to build innovations and enterprises.

IIC Objectives (Major Focus):

• To create a vibrant local Innovation ecosystem.
• Start-up supporting mechanism in HEIs.
• Prepare institute for Atal Ranking of institutions on innovation achievements framework.
• Establish a functional ecosystem for scouting ideas and pre-incubation of ideas.
• To conduct various Innovation, IPR, and entrepreneurship-related activities prescribed by MIC in time time-bound fashion.
• Identify and reward innovations and share success stories.
• Organize periodic workshops/ seminars/ interactions with entrepreneurs, investors, and professionals and create a mentor pool for student innovators.
• Network with peers and national entrepreneurship development organizations.

• Create an Institution’s Innovation portal to highlight innovative projects carried out by the institution’s faculty and students.
• Organize Hackathons, idea competitions, mini-challenges, etc. with the involvement of industries.


Won first prize for the project in the State level Science Exhibition held at Karnal on 21st and 22nd Feb.

Two-day mentor Development Program on 13 & 14 December 2022

Bhartiya Yuva Shakti Trust (BYST) conducted a Two-day mentor Development Program under the aegis of the EDP Cell on 13/12/2022 & 14/12/2022. Mr. Sudhir Dutt, the resource person of this program focused on developing the teachers' mentorship skills and training them to make their students Job-creator, not the Job-seeker. The program was conducted under the guidance of Dr. Savita Bhagat (Off. Principal) and operated by Dr. Ankita Mohindra (HOD-BBA Dept.) and Ms. Rita Dagar (Assistant Professor-BBA Dept.).


Student Development Program on 7 October 2022

Student Development Program was organized by ICFAI Business School under the aegis of IIC and EDP Cell on 7/10/2022. Dr. Vikram Sharma, Area Coordinator was the resource person of the program and addressed the students about their future careers and increased their awareness about after-graduate programs. The program was conducted under the guidance of Dr. Vijaywant (Off. Principal) and Mr. Mukesh Bansal (Coordinator- BBA Dept.). The program was operated by Dr. Ankita Mohindra (HOD-BBA Dept.) and Ms. Rita Dagar, Ms. Omita Johar & Ms. Renuka Malhotra (Assistant Professor-BBA Dept.).
