All India Nau Sanik Camp from 14 October 2023 to 25 October 2023

The cadets of our College, Cadet Captain Siya, Cadet Vikas Thakur and cadet Priyanshu, are selected in AINSC (All India Nau Sanik Camp) which was held in INS SHIVAJI, Lonavala, Maharashtra. There were activities like Rigging, Semaphore, Service Subject, Health & Hygiene, Swimming, Tent pitching and Line area. Our Cadets also got an opportunity to meet DGNCC  Lt. General Gurbirpal Singh.

Painting Competition on Swachhata Hi Seva and Shramdaan by NCC Cadets on 01 October 2023

NCC cadets along with NSS Volunteers participated in the Swachhta Hi Seva programme and provided Shramdaan in cleaning the Public Park near College. One Painting Competition among NCC cadets is also organised on the theme “Swachhata Hi Seva”.

Lecture on G20 on 09 September 2023

An extension lecture on the "Role of G20 and leadership promoted by India" was organized by the NCC unit of DAV Centenary College. The lecture hall buzzed with enthusiasm as 18 NCC Cadets, along with several other students of the College, gathered to gain insights into this pivotal global forum. Dr. Neeraj Singh, a distinguished faculty member in Environmental Sciences, was the Guest Speaker. He eloquently highlighted India's unwavering commitment to achieving a zero-emission target and shared the remarkable progress made by the world's top economic powers over the years. During the lecture, NCC cadets actively engaged in discussions, sharing their perspectives on the G20's role in environmental protection, particularly addressing plastic pollution and climate change.

Directorate Naval Training Camp-I, II, III, IV Ropar (Punjab)

DNTC-I & II were held from 12/6/19 to 1/7/19 and DNTC-III & IV from 27/08/19 to 15/09/19 at NCC Training Academy Ropar. Our 10 cadets were selected for DNTC-1 and PO cadet Seenam Malik, cadet Nupur Patwal, cadet Riya and cadet Manju Tanwar participated in different competitions like Drill Competition, Firing Competition, Semaphore Competition, Boat pulling Competition, Sailing Competition etc. and PO Cadet Seenam Malik and cadet Riya were selected for Directorate Naval Training Camp -IV, in which Special training of naval subjects was imparted to them.

Annual Training Camp, Tigaon (Faridabad)

Annual Training Camp was held at Govt. College, Tigaon from 27/5/2019 to 06/06/2019. 10 girl cadets attended the camp. Cadets were given rigorous training in all naval subjects so that they could perform well in the upcoming camps.

NCC Girls

Like every year swimming practice and training was carried out in the months of June to August in DCA Club Faridabad. Being naval cadets swimming is compulsory for all cadets. Only swimmers who qualify the swimming test are eligible to attend the naval camps and can participate in water borne activities during camps.

A rally was conducted by 1 Haryana Naval Unit NCC Faridabad to educate people about the cleanliness of our city, public buildings and monuments. Lt. Cdr. Ajay Raj Purohit flagged off the rally. Our cadets perform a Nukkad Natak to convey the message to keep the city clean and the importance of cleanliness. Our cadets also participated in debate competition conducted by Naval Unit. Pledge was also taken by the cadets to make the environment clean and pollution free.

NCC Girls

The Expedition was held from 15/09/19 to 24/09/19 at Raipur maidaan, Himachal Pradesh. Cadet captain Kunjdeep and PO Cadet Seenam Malik attended this camp and got a new experience with dingy boats and sailing in Gobind Sagar Lake (Bhakra Dam).

A Rally from Naval Unit to DAV Centenary College followed by cultural program was organized on 18/9/2019. All cadets of different schools and colleges of Faridabad participated in this rally from 1, Haryana Naval Unit NCC, Faridabad to DAV Centenary College. This rally was flagged off by Dr. Anshu Singla IPS (Haryana-2014) DCP Faridabad. Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao is a campaign of the Government of India that aims to generate awareness and improve the efficiency of welfare services intended for girls in India. A Cultural program like Laghu Natika, Skits, Dclamation and Dance were performed by different colleges and schools.

An Inspection was carried out by Group Commander, Brig. Vijay Mehta at 1, Haryana Naval Unit on 18/11/19. Brigadier Vijay Mehta inspected the cadets and PO cadet Seenam Malik had led the Guard of Honor at 1 Haryana Naval Unit NCC, Faridabad.

This All India camp was held from 07/01/20 to 20/01/20 at Indian Naval Academy, Kerala. PO CADET Seenam Malik was selected for this camp to represent Punjab Haryana Himachal Pradesh and Chandigarh Directorate. She participated in all competitions conducted by Indian Naval Academy and won gold Medal in Guard of Honor.

Bee Certificate Exam. was held on 09/02/20 in 1 Haryana Naval NCC, Faridabad. 5 cadets appeared in this exam and passed with “A” Grade.

One day Scuba Diving Camp was conducted at Sports Complex, Sector-12, Faridabad on 08/11/19. All cadets learn under water swimming and diving. This training was imparted by Navy retired Cdr. Rajiv Sardana and Mrs. Archana Sardana.

The World Nature Conservation Day was celebrated by the college NCC unit on 28/7/2019. Principal Dr. Satish Ahuja and Associate Prof. Mr. Mukesh Bansal planted trees inside the college premises. Dr. Satish Ahuja discussed with cadets and other college students about ways to conserve nature so that a common man can join it. Dr. Ahuja also educate the cadets about conservation ethics expressed by four Rs : “Rethink, Reduce, Recycle, Repair”
