Seminar on Entrepreneur Development

A seminar on entrepreneur development was organised at DAV Centenary College. The objective of this seminar was to promote enterprise development and skill building among students. Ms. Shashi, former head of the department of cosmetology at DAV College, Yamunanagar, was the keynote speaker of this program. She herself has been an entrepreneur and is also running her own business named 'Nature Bound Natural' related to cosmetic manufacturing. Shashi taught the students about making cosmetic products at home and earning a livelihood by setting up their own business through yoga, panchkarma, and dietician courses. The second speaker, Mr. Puneet, gave information to the students and teachers about diet and nutrition and also gave tips to stay healthy. He also gave information about making a career by becoming a dietician and starting their own business. Makeup expert Tisha explained how to do makeup and the very good career prospects related to it.

While encouraging the students, the Officiating Principal of the college, Dr. Archana Bhatia, stated, "Don't look for a job, but be capable of giving a job." The aim of this startup seminar was to prepare students to start their own business. Dr. Bhatia said that she will try her best to make her students self-sufficient. The coordinator of this program was Ms. Rekha Sharma and the whole team. Students and teachers from various departments were present in this program.
