“Introduction of Need-based Courses”

GOAL

The college keeps a tab on the needs of the industry and the preferences of the rapidly changing society. Consequent to that the college remains vigilant about the availability/launch of new courses in the affiliating University, i.e., MDU, Rohtak, and introduces such courses in the college to meet the needs of the industry and offer a whole range of courses for the students and their parents to choose from.

THE CONTEXT

In the context of meeting society's diverse needs, trends, and demands and maintaining the best possible standards, the college has been selecting and introducing new courses from time to time. It follows the curriculum specified by MDU, Rohtak, as well as keeps suggesting to the university the much-needed changes in the curriculum. Through this vision and wisdom, the college has remained at the forefront and has built a preferred brand image for itself.

THE PRACTICE

The courses offered by the college include traditional as well as professional classes at U.G and P.G level. The college has also introduced a new vocational UG program B.Voc Retail Management to make students job-oriented and skill-oriented. Also, numerous Add-on/Value Added Certificate Programs were introduced during the last five years (2018-2023) to build up employability through skill-based quality education. Problem Encountered:

  1. One constraint is that the college is under obligation to follow the curriculum approved by the affiliating university without there being any element of
  2. The college, to meet the institutional social responsibility, has to keep the fee charged for self-finance courses under Consequently, it has to check the expenses as well.
  3. The operations in most of the areas have suffered a lot due to the prevailing pandemic conditions and restrictions but now we are coming out of the Situation.

Resources Required

  1. Additional building with more rooms and labs required for introducing new skill-oriented courses
  2. More funding from the UGC.
  3. Reasonable hike in fee in concurrence with the university as per the need of the hour.

“Propagating Spiritual and Ethical Values”

GOAL

The college has always endeavoured to uphold the social and spiritual welfare of the students, the staff, and the society and therefore, shoulder this responsibility. The goal is to organize such activities to help people systematically propagate spiritual knowledge, educate all people in the techniques of spiritual life, and help check the imbalances of values in the lives of people.

THE CONTEXT

In this wake the college has been, along with other many spiritual and ethical activities, with ISKCON, Faridabad, and other organizations, performing many spiritual seminars, Hawan Yajna, Kirtans, Lectures, etc. throughout the year on our campus. Here a large number of people from the college, students, staff, and others in online mode have benefited in terms of peace, harmony, and spiritual tranquility, in this otherwise much-troubled world. The Practice In this context, the college, on its campus, organizes various spiritual sessions. Several acclaimed speakers from different organizations engage with the college where the devotee participants join and avail themselves of the higher level of spiritual discourse experiences.

Mega Event # 1:A Gita-based quiz. 'VEDIC OLYMPIAD’ was organized in which more than 18000 school students from all over Faridabad participated. The Prize distribution function was held in the college in which Sh. Vipul Goyal, industries Minister – Haryana, and Ms. Shreya Chopra, Miss India 2017-18 were the Chief Guest and the Guest of Honour respectively gave away the prizes. Sh. Vipul Goyal specifically praised the contribution of the college for its active support.
Mega Event # 2: The Grand Finale of the Summer Camp where parents of more than 400 Summer Camp participants attended the cultural event, focused on emphasizing the importance of Value education both at schools and by parents. Many leading industrialists and entrepreneurs attended the event.
Mega Event # 3:A number of acclaimed speakers from ISKCON and others come to college every Sunday throughout the year. Many eminent speakers from important positions from all walks of life have rendered their selfless services to this noble cause.

Problems Encountered and Resources Required

 Problems Encountered: In today's increasingly technical and materialistic world, students often feel disconnected from traditional spiritual and ethical teachings inherited from religious or cultural traditions.

Resources Required: So far college has been able to conduct the activity with its own resources
