One-day workshop was organized by the Tourism Department

Sh. Sohit Verma and Sh. Alok Kumar Mishra ji played a key role in this workshop. Both the personalities were from the hospitality sector having a vast experience in the area. The main objective of the workshop was to make the students aware of the existing job opportunities in the hotel sector and to see the readiness of students to fit into the required roles. This workshop was organised keeping in view the theme of World Tourism day 2023 - 'Tourism and Green Investments'. Mr. Sohit who was the resource person in the first session of this workshop, is working as Banquet Manager in the famous hotel Radisson Blu, Faridabad. With the help of technical tools, he guided the students about the main aspects to be taken care of to achieve efficiency in the Hospitality sector. He explained in brief about the softwares used in operating system in the tourism and Hotel sector all over the world. Mr Alok Mishra ji, another resource person is working as an Assistant Professor in the Institute of Hotel Management (I.H.M., Faridabad), he also addressed the students about the employment opportunities available for them after completion of their course. Mr. Mishra also explained to the students the importance of foreign languages in the tourism sector. Such programs are an integral part of the tourism department, which not only enhance the practical knowledge of the students but also make them conscious of the role personality development plays in the travel and tourism sector. The entire program was organized under the supervision of the Head of the Department Sh. Amit Kumar and his colleague Sh Manjeet ji. Thanks to the knowledgeable resource persons and we wish that they remain connected with the college and provide mentorship to students for their internship and placements afterwards.
