D.A.V. Centenary College Celebrates
World Wildlife Day
D.A.V Centenary College organised World Wildlife Day celebration with various activities.
The program started with the welcome of the Chief Guest Mr. Pankaj Grover, Director of Arth Institute of Commerce and Head of Aravali Trust Community Management by the Officiating Principal Dr. Vijaywanti. He inspired the students by making them pledge for wildlife conservation and resource conservation. Mr. Pankaj also emphasised on planting trees, avoiding use of plastic bottles and tissue paper etc.
On this occasion, some activities were also organized to make the students more aware which included poetry recitation competition, PPT presentation, caption writing and photography competition etc. For this, Rudra and Aditi received the first and second prizes respectively in the poetry recitation competition, Kunal and Drishti for PPT presentation, Kshitij and Sakshi Negi in caption writing and Aman and Ganesh in the photography competition.
Officiating Principal of the college, Dr. Vijaywanti talked about awakening everyone's awareness towards wildlife conservation and asked everyone to actively participate in this campaign. On this occasion, oath was administered to the students under the 'Mera Pehla Vote Desh Ke Liye' campaign.
Dr. Suman Taneja, Mrs. Rekha and Mr. Dinesh Kumar played their role as organizers of the program while Dr. Anjusha Srivastava, Ms. Archana and Mr. Dharamveer Singh were present as co-convenors.
