Workshop on POSH Act 2013
Women cell in association with department of commerce (SFS) organised a workshop on POSH Act 2013 for students and Faculty. The workshop was conducted under the direction of Officiating Principal of the college, Dr. Archana Bhatia.
The resource person for the workshop were Ms. Hema Kaushik, Women Protection Officer and Advocate Archana Goyal, Panel Advocate DLSA Faridabad. The purpose of the workshop was to address the issues related to sexual harassment of women at workplace and the procedure for filling the complaints in such cases.
Dr. Archana Bhatia also addressed the students and informed them about various other crimes and discrimination against women in India and the world . She further elaborated that cyber crime and Eve teasing cases are increasing alarmingly in India. The workshop was attended by around Fifty students from BCOM (SFS ) department.
Convenor Dr. Ruchi Arora concluded the program with a vote of thanks. Co-convenor Dr. Lalita Dhingra, Organising Secretary Dr. Nisha Singh, Dr. Suman Taneja, Ms. Jyoti Malhotra, Ms. Tanuja and other faculty members were also present in the program.
