VPM Scholarship Programme

DAV Centenary College, Faridabad, in collaboration with the Vishwa Prakash Mission (VPM), organized a personal interview session for students vying for the prestigious VPM Scholarship. The VPM is a registered charitable trust dedicated to supporting higher education for bright students from economically disadvantaged backgrounds. Over the past two years of collaboration with DAV Centenary College, VPM has successfully provided scholarships to more than 50 deserving students. This year, 33 students from various courses, primarily selected by Mr. Rakesh Sethi, Trustee of VPM, participated in the interview process. These students were pre-screened based on academic merit and financial need, ensuring that the scholarship reached the most deserving candidates. During the interview session, Mr. Rakesh Sethi personally assessed the students' academic potential, aspirations, and financial circumstances. Based on these interviews, 17 students were selected to receive the VPM Scholarship for the year. This generous support will help these students continue their education and achieve their academic goals. Dr. Archana Bhatia, Officiating Principal of DAV Centenary College, praised the efforts of VPM Trust for their unwavering commitment to empowering underprivileged students. She also acknowledged the crucial role of Mr. Rakesh Sethi and expressed her gratitude for the trust's continued collaboration with the college. The interview session was also attended by the Scholarship Committee members—Dr. Jitender Dhull, Dr. Minakshi Hooda, and Ms. Arti Kumari—who contributed to the smooth execution of the event and ensured transparency in the selection process. The event marked another successful step in the ongoing partnership between DAV Centenary College and VPM, highlighting the joint commitment to promoting education and supporting students from marginalized communities.
