Voters Pledge

DAV College students take voters pledge with much enthusiasm and democratic spirit The "Voters awareness forum" and "Youth Red Cross" Unit of DAV Centenary college, Faridabad organised a (Voters Pledge) event on 19 September, 2024 in the college auditorium to sensitise students about their voting rights and responsibilities as a voter. This event was important keeping in mind the forthcoming Haryana Legislative Assembly elections going to be held on October 5 2024. The event was aimed to help students understand their voting rights and the importance of well informed participation in the electoral process. The program began with the address by Dr Neeraj Singh , Nodal Officer Elections who later read out the pledge from stage for all . On this occasion students were sensitised by worthy Principal Dr Archana Bhatia about their electoral rights and inherent power of a voter. It was emphasised how the first time voters can get themselves registered and take part in future elections. As students and all staff took the pledge a strong sense of commitment filled the room. More than 100 students participated in the event. The program was organised by the Voter Awareness Forum convener , Dr Rajni Tuteja and well supported by Nodal Officer elections of the college Dr Neeraj Singh, YRC (Youth Red Cross) Boys Counsellor Mr Dinesh Kumar and Girls Counsellor Ms Omita Johar. Many faculty members were also present to take this oath notably Dr Narender Duggal, DSW, Dr Anju Gupta, Bursar, Dr Ruchi Malhotra, Overall Coordinator (SFS), Ms Jyoti Sharma, Ms Kiran Kalia etc on this occasion.
