Tree Plantation Program
A tree plantation program was organized at DAV Centenary College under the 'Selfie with Plantation' drive. A mega plantation drive is being run in the city under the name of 'Selfie with Plantation' by the Victora Life Foundation. Sardar S.S. Banga, Chairman of Victora Group, recipient of the President's Award, and also known as Tree-Man, planted 101 trees on the college campus as well as outside areas. Banga Ji shared that this year they had set a target of planting 30000 trees and that they are very close to achieving it. He further added that a tree serves Mother Earth by producing pure oxygen, purifying the air, purifying the water, and preventing soil erosion. Therefore, the goal of this drive is not only to plant trees but also to nurture and raise them like our own children.
