Teachers’ Day is Celebration
Teachers’ Day is celebrated every year to commemorate the birth anniversary of the first Vice President of India, Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan and to honour the pillars of society who instill, inspire and ignite creativity, imagination and a love of learning among students. Teachers play a major role in making their students responsible citizens of tomorrow. This year also D.A.V. Centenary College, Faridabad, in collaboration with Janasharanam and Indian Red Cross Society, Faridabad, celebrated Teachers’ Day with incredible gusto and zeal. On this occasion a cultural program was organised under the efficient guidance of its Officiating Principal, Dr. Archana Bhatia. The program started with lighting of the lamp. A number of teacher participants participated in the event very enthusiastically. The former PCS officer, Mr. Dilip Singhal was the chief guest of the program. Mr. Bijender Singh Sorot, Secretary, Indian Red Cross Society, Mr. Purushottam Saini, District Training Officer and Ms. Ekta Raman, Member, Indian Red Cross Society were the special guests. On this occasion, ICFAI Business School and BBA Department organized a Quotation Writing Competition for undergraduate and postgraduate students. The college honoured its 19 teachers for rendering their invaluable contribution. A book release ceremony was conducted on this occasion in which 2 books were released in which a book titled 'Emerging Trends and Innovation' edited by Dr. Archana Bhatia, Ms. Rekha Sharma, Dr. Preeti Jha and Dr. Lalit Dhingra was released. Along with this, another book titled 'From Stress to Success Cultivating Happiness at Workplace' edited by Dr. Archana Bhatia, Ms. Gargi Sharma, Ms. Neeti Nagar and Ms. Anamika was also released. Dr. Meenakshi Hooda and Dr. Ankita Mohindra successfully organized the program. The principal, Dr. Archana Bhatia, also arranged to watch a movie to encourage the teachers. It was a memorable day for all.
