Scholarship Grant Ceremony 2024

The Scholarship Grant Ceremony 2024, held at DAV Centenary College, Faridabad, on 25/10/2024 marked a significant milestone in the institution's ongoing commitment to supporting its students. The ceremony celebrated the achievement of 29 deserving students who were awarded scholarships based on a need-cum-merit basis, thereby reinforcing the college's mission to ensure quality education is accessible to all.
The event featured a comprehensive overview of the rigorous selection process, which involved collaboration with various NGOs. Out of 280 registered candidates, a thorough evaluation led to personal interviews with 110 students, culminating in the selection of the final 29 scholarship recipients. This meticulous process underscored the importance of both need and merit in awarding financial support.
Officiating Principal Dr. Archana Bhatia delivered an inspiring address, encouraging students to maintain high academic standards and emphasizing the importance of diligence and perseverance. She announced a special initiative to provide lifelong scholarships for 4-5 deserving B.Com students from the GIA department, further illustrating the institution's dedication to student welfare.The presence of esteemed faculty members, including Dr. Jitender Dhull, Dr. Anju Gupta, Dr. Ruchi Arora, Dr. Shivani Hans, and Dr. Minakshi Hooda, lent further significance to the occasion.
Recognition was also given to key contributors, including Rakesh Sethi Sir, chairman of Vishva Prakash Mission, who has supported over 35 students in the last three years, and Rekha Sharma, President , Mr. Sandeep Singhal, Vice President and Dr. Surbhi, Secretary of the Alumni Association who played a vital role in facilitating scholarships for 20 students.
The scholarships awarded during the event included the VPM Scholarship, Shashakt Kadam Scholarship, and Alumni Scholarships, all aimed at alleviating the financial burdens faced by students. The amounts were directly credited to the students’ fee accounts, allowing them to concentrate fully on their studies without the added stress of financial constraints.
