Rights and Duties of Citizens
An interactive session on Rights and Duties of Citizens was organized by B. Voc.
(Retail) Department in DAV Centenary College, Faridabad on 4 th of November
2022. Advocate Mr. Anuj Verma (An eminent professional in criminal Law at
Supreme Court of India) guided students about the fundamental Rights and
Duties of Citizens. He gave emphasis on consumer rights while availing cab
services, which has become a routine practice for commuting to places and also
spoke about the rights of fair gender in legal perspective. The program was
conducted under the guidance of Principal Madam Dr. Savita Bhagat, a true
educationist and a pioneer in shaping the overall development of students. More
than 200 students participated in the program to learn their moral responsibilities
and rights in framing a better world for future generations. Mrs. Rekha Sharma
HOD of the department felicitated Mr. Verma and contributed by her directives
and knowledge to make the program successful. Dr. Anju Gupta (Course
coordinator) and the organizing team members Dr. Sonam Kapoor, Mrs. Rakhi
Wadhawan, Mr. Ansari and Ms. Jyoti Sharma and their energetic student
volunteers teamed up to provide support in the program. Students keenly
observed the whole program and promised to follow the guidance to become
more aware and responsible citizens of the country.
