Inter Department Quiz on National Librarians’ Day
The library unit of DAV Centenary College organised an inter-department quiz competition highlighting the importance of libraries and the rich heritage of India. The event was held in the library's reading room and was enthusiastically attended by students from all eight departments of the college, each represented by a team of two students. The quiz had five rounds, covering libraries, Indian heritage, books and authors, and current affairs. The top three teams will be awarded prizes and certificates on National Librarians' Day, August 12. Kshitij Bhardwaj and Tanisha Goyal of B.Com. GIA stood first. Bharat Rawat and Atul Negi of B.Sc. stood second, while Tarun and Rudra of B.A.J.M.C. secured the third position.
Dr. Archana Bhatia, Officiating Principal, congratulated all the winning students and wished them a bright future. Library coordinator Dr. Jitendra Dhull and co-coordinator Dr. Anju Gupta said that such quizzes provide an invaluable platform for enhancing the general knowledge of students. Netra Pal Sain served as the quiz master. Librarian Ritu served as the organising secretary, and ensured the success of the event with the crucial support of Mohini, Renu, and Siya.
