Opening Session of 10-Day Faculty and Student Development Programme on Shrimad Bhagavad Gita*
The Spiritual Club of DAV Centenary College, Faridabad, inaugurated a 10-day Faculty and Student Development Programme on Shrimad Bhagavad Gita. Organized in collaboration with Shri Krishan Param Dham Mandir, Faridabad, and ISKCON Temple, Delhi, the event saw the participation of around 40 students.
The Chief Guest, Dr. Saroj Sawhney, Director of Shri Krishan Param Dham Mandir, delivered an insightful address on the "Application of Bhagavad Gita in Daily Life." She highlighted the importance of raising awareness about the teachings of the Bhagavad Gita and emphasized its relevance in today’s world.
Mr. Pushkar Chitransi Srivastava, a key speaker from ISKCON IYF Delhi, engaged the audience with his discourse on Chapters 1 and 2 of the Shrimad Bhagavad Gita. He shared valuable insights on how the teachings of the Gita can guide young individuals in leadership and personal development.
Dr. Archana Bhatia, Officiating Principal of DAV Centenary College, welcomed the dignitaries and appreciated the initiative. She encouraged students and faculty to actively participate in the forthcoming sessions.
The event was coordinated by Dr. Sonia Narula, with technical support provided by Mr. E.H. Ansari and alumnus Hari Om, along with the assistance of student volunteers Rajkumar and Priyanshi.
This opening session set the tone for the rest of the programme, which promises to delve deeper into the spiritual and philosophical teachings of the Bhagavad Gita.
