An Extension lecture on 'Demystifying Sustainability' at DAV Centenary College
An extension lecture was organized by the Environment Club of DAV centenary college on the topic 'Demystifying Sustainability'. Chaitanya Ahuja was the keynote speaker in this program. He has contributed as a design researcher in the environment with many years of work experience. Mr. Ahuja introduced the students to various aspects of sustainability and highlighted the importance of circular economy, referring to the Bandhwari landfill site located on Gurgaon Road.
The program was presided over by the officiating principal of the college, Dr. Archana Bhatia. In her address, she inspired the students to strengthen their commitment towards sustainable development. Program coordinator and Faculty of Environmental Science Department, Dr. Neeraj Singh clarified the concept of sustainable development and lasting development. They also shared views on India's international role and its international commitments. Mr. E.H. Ansari of Computer Science department was present as the technical expert and Mr. Netra Pal Sain of Economics department was present as the executive secretary. More than 100 students and teachers of the college participated in this program.
