Exceptional performance in the three-day Youth Festival
Splendid performance by DAV Centenary College in Youth Fest’
Students of DAV Centenary College gave an Exceptional performance in the three-day Youth Festival organized at Aggarwal College, Ballabgarh. The College Participated in 42 out of 43 competitions and bagged a total of 21 prizes. Out of various competitions, the students of the college secured first position in nine competitions and second position in ten competitions. While three third prizes were also received by the students of the college. Along with the first position in Hindi drama, the title for the Best Actor Male category was also won by the student of the college, Darshan, for playing the role of ‘Lootera Tajmaro’. The college got first position in classical dance, quiz, Haryanvi poetry, Punjabi poetry, poster making, Sanskrit shloka recitation and rangoli competition.
Ghazal, Hindi poetry, painting, solo dance female, Haryanvi orchestra, western instrumental, debate against English, photography, qawwali, elocution competitions got second position. While the third position was achieved for Group Dance General, Group Song General and Slogan Writing.
On this occasion, the Officiating Principal of the college, Dr. Archana Bhatia congratulated all the winning students and teachers. Dr. Bhatia expressed that this achievement is the result of hard work and diligent efforts of the students. The Qawwali performance by the students of the college was described as unforgettable by the judges and the audience. The Principal also gave her blessings to all the participants for the Inter Zonal Youth Festival to be held in Maharshi Dayanand University, Rohtak.
Dr. Bhatia also congratulated Dean EMA Jitendra Dhul, Deputy Dean Aarti Kumari and their team for this achievement. To acknowledge and appreciate the winners, a colorful program was organized by the college in which the students and the faculty danced to the tune of drums.
