Educational Tour to Doordarshan Kendra

The Department of Journalism and mass communication organized an educational tour to Doordarshan Kendra and India Gate ,War memorial of India.
The students of Journalism and Mass Communication of Dav Centenary College,Faridabad embarked on an enlightening educational visit to Doordarshan,India Gate and Memorial War of India .The visit, coordinated by Ms.Rachna Kasana,Head of the department of BAJMC aimed to provide students with hands-on experience and insight into the functioning of national broadcasters.
"We are grateful for this opportunity to explore the inner workings of DD News and DD India," said Ayush ,student of BAJMC ."This experience has broadened our understanding of the media industry."
Dr. Archana Bhatia emphasized, "Such visits foster practical learning and industry exposure, essential for our students' growth."This visit aligns with media department's objective to bridge the gap between academia and industry."

Our students were meticulously oriented by Nitin sapre ,Deputy Director (DD India )and Vinod Shankar bairwa ,Deputy director ,DD News about the functioning of the TV news and Television as a medium.They urged them to equip themselves with the necessary skill sets to readily take up journalistic and production jobs and internships in TV channels.
It was a very educational experience for the students as they were able to get an understanding of the processes involved in the TV news broadcast.The students were taken around the newsroom and various desks. They were informed about how the output and input desks function on a daily basis. The students saw the producers working on the bulletins under pressure. In the Ingest room, they observed how each news story gets ingested with a unique ID and in the post production area, they observed the editing of stories.
