Celebrating 78th Independence Day
DAV Centenary College celebrated 78th Independence Day with great pride, zeal and enthusiasm. To commemorate the sovereignty of our nation, programme began with flag hoisting by the Chief Guest and Officiating Principal of the college Dr. Archana Bhatia. This was followed by the National Anthem and March Past by the NCC cadets. The students of the college enlivened the occasion by presenting Haryanvi skit , group dance and musical performances. Former NCC cadets Vishvendra Chauhan, Siya, Karishma Singhal, Deepak, Prince Nagar, Vikas Thakur and Priyanshu were awarded for their outstanding performance in the 'C' certificate examinations this year. The winners of the inter-departmental painting competition, singing and poetry recitation competition were given prizes by the Alumni Association. Dr. Bhatia awarded assistant staff Gajanand and Somnath for their hard work in the college work.
The convenor of the programme was Dr. Anju Gupta and co-convenor Dr. Shivani. The cultural program was organized under the direction of Aarti and Dr. Yogesh Sharma. The stage was conducted by Mamta Kumari who made the program successful and memorable with her efficient coordination. On this occasion, Dr. Suniti Ahuja, Dr. Narendra Duggal, Dr. Archana Singhal, Sunita Dhudeja, Dr. Ruchi Malhotra and NCC CTO Dr. Rashmi and Netra Pal Sain along with all the teachers, non-teaching staff and students of the college were present.
