- Anti-Drug Awareness and Elimination Program organized at DAV Centenary College

In accordance with the directives of the Directorate of Higher Education, Haryana, an Anti-Drug Awareness and Elimination Program was organized at DAV Centenary College, Faridabad. On this occasion, the Officiating Principal, Dr. Narender Kumar, addressed the students and stated that drug addiction does not just destroy an individual, but also leads the entire nation's future into darkness. To fight this menace, we must launch a strong collective campaign. He emphasized that substance abuse destroys the energy, potential, and cognitive abilities of the youth, making continuous awareness all the more essential.
The college’s Yoga Instructor, Mr. Umesh Kumar, administered the anti-drug oath to all students, NSS volunteers, NCC cadets, and YRC members. During the oath ceremony, students raised impactful slogans such as "Nasha Bhagao – Desh Bachao" (Drive Away Drugs – Save the Nation), "Say No to Drugs", and "Healthy Youth, Strong Nation", creating a positive and motivating atmosphere.
The primary aim of this program was to make students aware of the harmful consequences of drug abuse spreading across the state and society, and to instill a sense of social responsibility in them. Around 30 students enthusiastically participated in the oath ceremony and pledged to bring about a positive change in society.
The entire program was successfully conducted under the guidance of Dr. Yogesh (Convener) and Dr. Sarika Saini. The event concluded with a strong pledge by the students that they will not only stay away from drugs themselves but also help their peers do the same.
