A Three Day Orientation programme “Satra Shubh-Arambh”

A Three Day Orientation programme “Satra Shubh-Arambh” of the Academic Year 2024-25 for the newly admitted students of B.Com (GIA & SFS), B.Voc. ( Retail Management) and M.Com was organized by DAV Centenary College.
The function was officially inaugurated by lighting the lamp in front of Godess Saraswati by the Officiating Principal of the college Dr. Archana Bhatia and all the dignitaries.
The special Guests for the programme were Mr. Tarun Sharma, Corporate motivational speaker and CS Meenakshi, both of them are the Alumni of the college.
To break the ice, Ms. Kiran Kalia presented a virtual tour of the College to the students. She also gave an insight on the history and affiliation of the college. Further Dr. Archana Bhatia delivered the Inaugural Address. In her address she motivated all students and asked them to pursue their dreams and use the enormous facilities provided by the college. She also emphasised on developing the core values and discipline in each student.
Later on students were guided by Dr. Archana Singhal, about the NEP 2020 regulations and guidelines, Course details and multiple entry and exit option that can be availed by the students.
Thereafter Mr. Tarun Sharma deliberated the words of motivation to the students and adviced them to never lose their will power.
In addition to this, Dr. Bindu Roy briefed the students about various clubs, cells and committees that run in the college like Anti- Ragging Cell, Discipline Committee, NCC, Training and Placement etc. It was then taken over by Ms. Aarti Kumari who familiarised the students with the code of conduct in the college and she also delivered a vote of thanks to the Principal and all the organising members of the event.
Dr. Archana Singhal and Dr. Ruchi Malhotra were the convenor and co-convenor of the Programme. Dr. Bindu Roy, Ms. Aarti Kumari, Ms. Kiran Kalia and Mr. Dinesh were the organising secretary. The stage was conducted by Ms. Meenakshi Kaushik and Dr. Suman Taneja. Around 450 students attended the programme along with the teaching faculty.
