Course ki Charcha on Career path : Counselling and Admissions

In this changing scenario of Pandemic, where life has almost come to a halt and to roll forward and meet the challenges present in front of today’s students, D.A.V. Centenary College, Faridabad, took an initiative and held a roaring online counseling series “Course Ki Charcha on Career Path: Counselling and Admissions” started from 27th July to 6th August 2020 through zoom and Facebook Live. The main aim of the program was to reduce the stress of the students and help them with various career options and how to choose the right program and the right destination for themselves. The mind behind this idea, Dr. Savita Bhagat, Officiating Principal, has the vision to provide the best possible learning and teaching practices to the students so that they can achieve their full potential in a dynamic, caring, and supportive environment and can become socially adept and independent. Overall Coordinator, Dr. Archna Bhatia, at the same time, elaborated that this initiative to start an online career program was taken to help the applying students to know their interests, abilities, and available opportunities so that they may avail accordingly.

The college offered many courses like B.Com (Pass), B.Com (Hon.), B.Com (CA), and B.Com (TPP) on the very first day in which a lot of relevant information regarding the course was shared. On day 2, the BCA course was introduced in which the coordinator of the course, Dr. Suniti Ahuja elucidated that it is the first college in Haryana where students get placement even at UG level. In this succession, other disciplines like BBA, B.Sc (Non-Medical), and B.Sc (C.Sc), BTTM, BA, BA(JMC) were explained extensively. Along with these disciplines various clubs like sports, EMA, NCC, NSS, YRC were introduced to motivate the aspiring students to identify their inner strength and enable them for their holistic development. Our experienced faculty members under the supervision of their holistic development.


Our experienced faculty members under the supervision of their coordinators and HODs resolved the doubts and inquiry of the concerned students and their parents. Several students from Faridabad, Ballabhagarh, Palwal, Gurugram, Noida, and Delhi were highly benefitted with this online program. In this sequence of events Dr. Ankur Aggarwal, Ms. Ankita, Mr. Shivam, Ms. Meenakshi Hooda moderated the session vigorously. The entire technical team including Mr. Saroj Kumar, Mr. Pramod Kumar, Mr. Dinesh Kumar, Dr. Priya Kapoor, and Ms. Ritu Sachdeva made the event a success with their diligence and endeavor.
